How to Lighten Up the Burden of Moving
Moving is not an easy thing to do - that's a fact. But after carrying out three moves in the past few years, I've learned that it can be easier. There are many ways in which you can lighten up the burden, not to mention the expenses of moving. Here are some of them:
Garage Sale Finds
If it's your first time moving and you need some things to get started, I strongly recommend you to buy from a garage sale. Some people are just so frantic about getting rid of their items that they end up selling their goods for almost nothing. If you are lucky, you might even get stuff for free. Organizers of these sales are likely on a moving schedule too. They have to clear their stuff one way or the other.
An Action Plan
A move-out checklist will serve as your guide throughout the move. It ensures that all the tasks, big or small, are accomplished. You may have to develop a cleaning checklist too. Review your checklist of cleaning tools and products so you know what to bring.
Buying Moving Supplies
You will need lots of boxes to carry out a successful move. They are often available at supermarkets, liquor stores and supply stores. Packing materials such as bubble wrap, packing tape, newsprints and markers should be purchased as well for organized packing.
